Papua New Guinea:
Menya tribe: (2009-11-20) Tuberculosis has been a major cause for a very high death rate among the Menya people. A local hospital has asked the missionary team to help administer medicine, but because of the Menyas' beliefs about sickness, few people seek medical treatment and when they do, very few finish it. Please pray that the missionary team will be able to build good relationships with the Menyas and that those who are ill will receive treatment and finish it.
Brazil:
Baniwa tribe: (2009-11-20) God worked in the hearts of many Baniwa people as Zenilon Bezzera taught through the Bible recently, and one man, Steven, came to tell Zenilson he clearly understood now. Pray that God's Word continues to grow and strengthen Baniwa believers. Find out more --

Southern Tepehuan tribe: (2009-11-18) Next week -- Monday through Thursday -- missionaries Barry and Candy Wingo will be working with a dental team headed by Dr. Dan Bentley to care for dental needs among the Southern Tepehuan people. "It's a taxing time but the Tepehuans appreciate the great service they receive right there in their home town," Barry wrote. Please pray that the act of showing concern for physical needs will build relationships toward their acceptance of the Gospel.

Sanapaná tribe: (2009-11-17) Missionary John Stucky and his Sanapaná co-worker, Regino, are working this week with a skilled Bible translator, Paul Cheshire, to check about 700 verses in the Sanapaná translation. Please pray that the team will have wisdom as they determine whether the translation is clearly communicating God's Word to the Sanapaná people.
Panama:
Kuna tribe: (2009-11-16) Please pray for Kuna believers who are facing intense pressure to participate in drinking ceremonies. They are being accused, questioned, threatened and fined for their non-participation, but continue to walk in obedience to Christ.
Brazil:
Gaviao tribe: (2009-11-16) Wawri, a Gaviāo believer recently renewed his relationship with Christ after straying for about a year. He and other Gaviāo believers are now looking to the Lord to develop leaders for the church. Please pray they will recognize God's guidance. Find out more --

Akolet tribe: (2009-11-13) Missionaries will soon print four primers to be used in teaching the Akolet people to read and write. Several men are coming up with ideas for graded readers to let the students practice their reading skills. One man -- Toni -- has shown special interest and missionaries hope to train him as a literacy teacher. Please pray as they continue preparation for classes and decide on when to start them.
Panama:
Embera tribe: (2009-11-13) Missionary Doug Schermerhorn has faced several obstacles while trying to finish the Embera New Testament by the end of April 2010. Please pray that Doug and his Embera co-workers will be united and focused and that God will give them strength and the ability to overcome the obstacles and accomplish their goal.
